Hey Guys!!  It was a "sad panda" day for me when I closed the doors to Valhalla.   I believe that our guild was the best due to the people that were in it!   My officers and myself want to thank you all for working hard to make Valhalla a great home for "the lost toons of Anub'arak" lol  I am going to keep this website going- for the forums and keeping the bridges up..  And vent will remain also for a while.  So, we can all talk still.  :)

There is a new thread in the General Discussion Forum called "Vent/Guild Chat Etiquette".  Please read the post ASAP as these policies will be going into effect at 4:00pm server time on the 3rd of June.  I would hate for anyone to be punished just because they failed to read the rules, so please take a look.

Ok this has long in coming- the general rules for raiding with Valhalla...

1.  If there isn't enough sign ups to make the raid, it is up to the OFFICER/S of that group to CANCEL the whole raid for the night... Because if people have a set time to raid, looking for more people can make a raid very late and slow down progress for the guildies that DID sign up...  Don't blame the officers please, just become more active in reminding people to sign up.  If they are having trouble with the Website or what-not PLEASE HELP THEM...

2.  SIGNING UP on the websites calendar means you are able to raid on that night at that time...  IF you can't make it, take your name off the calendar!! or tell an officer (ahead of time, not 30mins before a run plz.) that something came up!  DON'T leave the whole group hanging!!  If you are a NO SHOW, 25g to the guild's bank is needed for you to raid again!! THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO ANYONE!!!  NOT EVEN ME as most guildies know... lol :) 

3.  Please DO NOT sign up for a raid if you only have an 1hr of time!  The minimum time that you should have is 3 hours-- It takes time to replace people, so think of your guildies and only sign up if you have the time to seriously raid.  We understand if all of a sudden, something comes up and you have to run.  RL happens!!  BUT if this looks to be like a pattern... We will take other guildies on the next raids... This is best for the progess of the guild on a whole...

4.  BE ON TIME to all set raids!!! (ON TIME MEANS 30min before the raid is set to start!!) Again, we know that due to RL you can't help being late sometimes- we understand, but tell someone that you know will tell an officer OR make a comment by your name... Please understand though, if you are more than 20min. late (and that is WITH telling us) you will be replaced for the smooth progession of the group.

5. BE PREPARED to start smoothly!!  BRING Consumables!! as in arrow and pet food for hunters : Shards for Locks : Mana Pots for Mages and etc etc etc... BRING enough for the duration of the raid!! If you do not know how much to bring, ASK an OFFICER LONG BEFORE the raid starts!!! Officers also bring certain pots and food to the raids... That doesn't mean keep asking them for stuff, (this just makes vent too crowded) The Officers will pass out consumables to the proper parties...  If you do not come prepared, you will miss out on the next raid... AND REPAIR FIRST!!!!!

6. DURING a RAID- keep VENT CLEAR!!!!  The raid lead and officers NEED TO BE HEARD and understood for the fights to run well.  We understand calling out for healing and imprtant "raid related" chatter, BUT when the lead/officer calls for the clearing of vent LISTEN please.  RAIDS run faster and much better with less talk :)  Please note we will moderate the channels if vent is not kept clear!

7.  Guildies need to be respectful at all times!!!  NO ONE will bad mouth or BLAME others or themselves openly to the raid!! YOU WILL RECEIVE 1 whispered warning from the lead and/or officer! Then after that, an officer will kick you from the raid group if you do not follow this rule...  IF you are talked to 3 times you will be kicked from the guild!!  DISRESPECT IS NOT AN OPTION IN VALHALLA... ( or in real life as a matter of fact) 

8.  LOOT:  Loot is decided by  these ranks of Officers (Mjolnir, Asgaard, GM) then addressed with the raid.  LOOT IS NOT TO BE FOUGHT OVER OR COMPLAINED ABOUT IN THE RAID...IF you have a question about the loot talk to an officer AFTER the raid!!  Please note, Officers are not playing favorites!!  Loot is decided for the best of the progression of the guild.  And Remember this will not be the only time that we will run that certain instance...  You will all get a chance at loot.  BUT if you do complain in any way during the raid you will only whispered ONCE!! Then kicked from the raid!! 3 separate  warnings and you will be kicked from the guild-- It's about respect for the guild and the raid... ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT! :)

9.  DO NOT LOOT before all are alive and present in the raid!!!

10.  WIPES--Wipes are going to happen!! WIPING is how we learn a new fight!!  IF you have time to raid for 3 hours, you will need to commit to that time even if all we do is wipe!  I want no excuses about repairs and the lack of gold - That is what dailies are for... (Remember all the times it took to learn all the fights in Kara)  and ONLY OFFICER CALLS THE RAID... And don't complain!! JUST get it done!!

11.  Don't come to a raid as PVP spec!!!-- If you will be asked to leave... 

I hope this helps all understand what we are trying to do as a guild :)  If you feel you have any questions or feel I have missed something, feel free to talk to me in game or reply to the post I have placed in the forums..

It is the Officers job to make sure that there will be a good balance of classes..  ZA is running twice a week-- the 2 groups are running on the same nights.  MONDAYS & FRIDAYS   - CHECK THE WEBSITE CALENDAR FOR TIMES!!! AND SIGN-UP !!!!

These groups are *OPEN* for all to sign up! THEN the officer of that group will make the group that will be best for a full clear of Kara!  SO DO IT! Sign up even if you see them FULL!!    You might still be able to run, due to late/no shows or even people that need to leave during a raid.   And PLEASE DO NOT bug officers in Kara to ask them if there is room left or "Do you have a spot for me yet?!?"  IF there is room, AND you signed up, you will be whispered too! NO WHISPER FROM AN OFFICER = NO ROOM!!  IF you end up not running that week, be the first to sign up for the next week!! So sign up! on the websites calendar Also, we have enough guildies for a "side" Kara group and IF doesn't hurt the OTHER groups!  Please talk to an Officer if u would like to setup a side run :)  THE RUNS FOR KARA ARE TUESDAYS & SATURDAYS- CHECK THE WEBSITE CALENDAR AND SIGN UP PLZ :)
